The James River Council on the Arts and Humanities is a membership-based organization open to all individuals and organizations in the region committed to the vision of the Council.

As a member, not only will you be working alongside the area’s most creative and business-minded men and women to further arts and humanities appreciation in the Region 2000, you will receive:

• Invitations to workshops and webinars
• Grant writing assistance, including access to copies of successful grants
• Suggestions for funding sources and research
• A listing in the Cultural Classified section of this website
• Invitations to peer round tables and social events
• Invitations to special events and receptions
• One-on-one consultations with the James River Council staff and board
• Representation at local, state and federal hearings discussing cultural issues and funding

You can complete your membership registration right here! Simply complete the following steps.

1. Register on our site by creating a user name and password. (Take note of your user name and email for the following steps).
2. Confirm your account. An email will be sent confirming your e-mail address.
3. Decide which level of membership (from below) best suits you and pay online via Paypal. Please use the same email that you used when creating your account above, we will use these for account verification.
   • $10 – Students
   • $35 _ Individuals
   • $50 – Organizations $1,000 to $50,000
   • $100 – Organizations $51,000 to $150,000
   • $150 – Organizations $151,000 to $300,000
   • $200 – Organizations more than $300,000
4. Once you have paid your yearly dues we will enable additional permissions on your account to allow you more
